Roof Wise LLC is a professional group experienced in Roof Technologies and Building Envelope Sciences with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. We specialize in Modified Bitumen, Built-Up-Roofing, Single Ply Membranes, Cold/Hot Fluid Applied Systems, Metal, Clay/Concrete Tile, Asphalt Shingles, as well as Building Envelope Facades. Our consultants are well versed in the principles of roof flashing, insulation, and design problems. Our roof consulting team is focused on providing watertight roof systems and envelope integrity for Building Owners, Developers and Property Managers. Our roof technology specialists are members of RCI (Roof Consultants Institute) and are active participants with Roof Wise’s continuing professional education and research program, as well as the development of information relating to the design and construction of roofing, glass and glazing, waterproofing and building envelope systems.
Christopher A. Bowman
Christopher A. Bowman is a Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) that has more than 30 years of comprehensive construction consulting experience. Mr. Bowman’s construction consulting experience includes responsibility for building envelope and roofing consulting for residential, commercial, resort and institutional clients. Mr. Bowman manages and performs a variety of services that include: field investigations, infrared and nuclear moisture surveys, destructive testing, roof uplift testing, window testing, preparation of reports, design of roofing systems, development and preparation of bid packages and Contract Documents, inclusive of technical specifications and drawings, preparation of cost estimates, contractor proposal evaluations, roof asset management and expert witness.
Project management responsibilities also include conducting pre-bid meetings, pre-construction meetings and project progress meetings, coordination of on-site quality assurance services and testing, monitoring project progress, performance and budgetary conditions, review of contractor requests for information, change orders and payment applications, as well as complete construction administration of roofing activities.
Dan Sinay
Through 30 years of construction industry experience, Dan Sinay has gained knowledge of low-slope and steep-slope roofing, waterproofing, sheet metal installation, stucco/eifs, fenestrations (windows & doors), concrete, steel, and other construction-related materials and processes. Literally “from the ground up” he possesses a working knowledge of all phases of the construction industry.
During his tenure as a General Contractor, Dan has conducted investigative work involving concrete slabs, structural analysis, roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope analysis for litigation support, specification development and cost analysis. In addition, Dan has designed roofing and waterproofing systems and provided services such as Roof Project Management, Pre-Bid and Pre-Job Conferences, Quality Assurance Observations, and Final Inspections. Dan also has vast experience in wind uplift testing, Infrared thermography, nuclear moisture testing, and window testing.
Dan’s Building Envelope Quality Assurance Inspection credentials include many high profile projects for clients such as The University of Central Florida, Volusia County FL, Orange County Florida, Seminole County Florida, Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World, Tampa International Airport, Coca Cola, Canaveral Port Authority, Marriott Hotels, Hyatt Hotels, Starwood Resorts, and Kennedy Space Center.
“Hands-on” experience includes working as a roofing contractor, roofing estimator, and project manager for large-scale commercial and residential projects. Dan also held positions at the University of Central Florida as the building envelope professional, and the Assistant Director of General Contracting. Dan is also a licensed Florida general contractor (CGC 1518681), and a level 1 certified infrared thermographer.
